Splitter

The Splitter turns one scanned stack into separate documents. Roz reads every page, marks where each document starts, and leaves out blank pages. You check the marks, then send the documents on.

Split a Stack

  1. Open the Splitter
Click Splitter in the side bar.

  2. Add the scans
Drop PDFs on the page or click Choose PDFs. Several files are treated as one stack, in order. Turn on Sort files by name to put them in name order.

Splitter start screen with Choose PDFs and the list of recent stacks

  3. Wait for the pages to be read
A progress bar shows while Roz reads the pages. Click Cancel to stop.

  4. Check the documents
Each document starts with a yellow New doc tab. Pages left out get a red Excluded tab, or Excluded · blank when Roz left out a blank page. Fix any break that is wrong. See Fix the Breaks.

  5. Pick what happens next
Choose an option in the bar at the bottom. See After Splitting.

  6. Send
Click the blue button, for example Split and process 6 documents as Automatic.
